Everton and Arsenal played out a 0-0 draw in the Premier League on Saturday, with respective new managers Carlo Ancelotti and Mikel Arteta watching from the stands.

Ancelotti was named Everton manager an hour before kick off, while Arteta -- who represented both sides in his playing career -- was appointed Arsenal boss on Friday.

Neither side mustered a shot on target in an uninspiring first half at Goodison Park, with the most notable event being Alex Iwobi's injury-enforced substitution on 11 wholesale nike nfl jerseys

Arsenal came closest to breaking the deadlock early in the second half when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's close-range effort forced Jordan Pickford to make an impressive reflex save.8

Later in the half, Cenk Tosun showed his frustration at being substituted when he ignored interim Everton coach Duncan Ferguson as he left the pitch.

Neither team was able to find the winner as Arsenal kept a clean sheet for the first time in 15 games.

The result ensures Everton cannot slip into the relegation zone this weekend, while Arsenal remain midtable.

After the final whistle, Ferguson -- who will stay on as part of Ancelotti's coaching team -- said: "It's fantastic for the club for someone of the pedigree of Ancelotti to come in at nfl jerseys from china nike

"What he's done in the game is incredible, so I can't wait to get started working with him. I'll be here as long as the club want me here, so I'll be back on Monday."

Ferguson added he had not yet had the chance to speak to Ancelotti.

"Hopefully we'll chat tonight with a glass of red wine," Ferguson said. "If I give him a few bowls of red wine, I might become co-manager or something."

Meanwhile, caretaker Arsenal manager Freddie Ljungberg said he was still uncertain whether he would remain at the club as part of Arteta's staff.

"I've been told by the club they want me to stay, but I will have a meeting with Mikel tomorrow and hopefully it's a good one," he said.
